This is for students who opt for performance opportunities whether they be live in-person or via video live stream at different events.
COVID 19 COMPANY POLICIES AND PROTOCOL:
-
Due to increases in costs related to sanitation and providing a safe space for dancers, rent and other factors have created a situation wherein renting third party studio space for our dance school is no longer financial viable. For this reason, dance classes will be held only at the West-end home-based studio and online via Zoom. In the future, it is possible that we may rent a studio space again.
-
Students who register for dance classes can opt to receive
-
Zoom sessions only
-
In-studio & Zoom combination lessons
-
-
Due to the limited space in the studio, only 3 - 4 people will be allowed in the space at one time (3 facing south, 4 facing west - this is up to the teacher to decided).
-
Students who want to receive in-person lessons must be willing to rotate attendance live-in-person and live-via-zoom based on the number of people registered in the class. This means, if 5 people are registered, and all 5 want to come to studio classes, there will be a weekly rotation of 2-3 students attending live in person.
-
In case a teacher is travelling, she will attempt to do Zoom sessions in place of studio sessions.
-
The instructor will sanitize high touch surfaces including but not limited to door handles, light switches, sink, faucet, toilet handle and hand-rail banister.
-
Students/Parents of students will have to attest to 'good health' and 'travel' outside the country EACH class prior to coming in.
-
Payments for dance classes will only be taken via monthly PAC (pre-authorized credit) to avoid any issues in case of a future pandemic lockdown.
ENTRY PROCEDURES:
-
Parents or guests are not permitted to enter the studio space unless there is an emergency; door drop off only.
-
All parent discussions can be had via phone or video conference (WhatsApp).
-
Timed entry: do not arrive early for classes. Students will need to text their teacher when they have arrived. They will be called in accordingly after they attest to good health and no travel and no contact with anyone with covid-19.
-
It's possible that we will check temperatures to detect fever using a contactless thermometer.
-
Students must wear a mask at all times in the dance studio space and are only allowed to remove the mask when they get to their designated 'dance spot' on the dance floor at which time, the student may remove their mask.
-
Students must wear their masks when using the washroom, entry and departure from the studio.
-
Students must sanitize or wash hands upon entry and prior to departure.
-
Students should refrain from touching anything unnecessarily in the studio space.
-
Students must be willing to refrain from unruly behavior maintain social distance to be able to continue coming to classes.
-
Students must refrain from touching their mouth, eyes or nose during the class.
-
Students with asthma or any immune dysfunction are not permitted in the studio space; we recommend Zoom classes for these participants.
-
Any further protocols will be communicated with parents/students.
